Data protection

We are committed to protecting our clients’ privacy. We value your trust!

We manage our personal data registers with the sensitivity they require and have acted on the guidance regarding handling the personal information held within each register. Our
privacy policies cover both the customer and marketing register and jobseeker register.
Privacy policies can be requested from: tietosuoja@hatala.fi. In the policy discussed below, we focus on Hätälä’s website data protection.

We would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding Hätälä’s privacy policies.

Our website’s data protection policy

The purpose of data handling

Data is used to enhance the user’s experience on the website and adapt our content according to the customer’s website activity.

Register’s data content

Data provided by the user include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Feedback given

We use cookies to collect the following data, for example:

  • Usage and browsing data of the service
  • Page, server and domain from which the user has transferred to our website; model of the device, individual device and/or cookie identifier; channel used to collect data (browser, mobile browser, application); browser version; IP address; session
identifier; time and duration screen resolution; and operating system
  • Device and user identifiers
  • Other data collected with the person’s consent.

In addition to the aforementioned data, the register also holds data that has been more clearly set out in the privacy policies of the data collection services (see below).

How we collect data

We collect data from our website users mainly through requests sent through the website and the cookies used.

On what grounds is data collected?

Consent: By sending feedback or applications, the user consents to the processing of their data.

Cookies

When one of our websites are visited, cookies (small text files) are saved through the browser onto the user’s device.

Hätälä’s websites save two types of cookies onto the user’s device: technical cookies and
so-called third-party cookies. Technical cookies enable our web service, allowing us to offer a better service.

Third-party cookies (e.g. trackers, beacons, pixels) stand for cookies that are connected to external service providers connected to our website.

Cookies allow us to determine the most popular parts of our websites, tracking which pages are visited and for how long. The collected data is used, for example, to develop and analyse services.

We use:

  • Google Analytics for visitor tracking

The user can control cookies through their browser or Google Ad settings. Saving of cookies and the use of other similar technologies can be blocked using the browser settings (the ‘do not track’ functionality). This may lead to the browsing of our website slowing down, or
access to some pages may be prevented altogether.

How is my personal data protected?

The service is located and maintained from Finland. Cookies and the protection of their use follows the service provider’s (e.g. Google Analytics) privacy policy terms.

The website’s service provider is committed to good data protection principles and tends to the information security of the service.

In certain circumstances, your data may be moved outside of the EU economic region. Grounds for transfer is the European Commission’s enforcement order (EU) 2016/1250 (12.6.2016) regarding the Privacy Shield arrangement between the EU and the USA on the sufficiency of data protection and the service provider’s self-certification regarding the
aforementioned.

  • Right to have access to personal data
  • Right to correct data
  • Right to delete data
  • Right to restrict processing

The registered person has the right to complain to the authorities if the register holder has not observed the data protection act in their operation.
